When it comes to education
in Pakistan, It’s a blind
jump. Try this or that nothing
is organized in terms of future
counseling. I started with the
same.
My first passion was to become
a microbiologist or a nuclear
scientist. The main reason behind
was the TV series called "War
of the worlds" shown in
late 80`s on PTV. The other
reason definitely was Math.
I hated it not because I thought
it boring or bad or something
I couldn’t compete with.
The teaching methodology was
too dull.
If I look back I see couple
of folks who helped me search
my self. Two of them are my
elder brothers and two of them
are my friends. No question
about missing out MY parents.
My brother influenced me two
ways, Drawing and story telling.
They both contributed to the
love I have towards Art and
Design. My friends helped me
refine my talent. My acknowledgements
for all. Saqib Latif, Ivan Suneal
and Asad Ayuab.
An incident brought me to awareness
about NCA -National
College of Arts-. It was
quite thrilling when I got a
seat in Product Design out of
3 seats from Punjab and 7 from
all over Pakistan. Experiencing
and learning the integration
of Arts and Design I switched
for Miniatures. The only unique
degree offered at NCA. It had
the every thing I was looking
for i.e. Design, story telling,
wild imagination, oriental love
and contemporary approaches.
The Design Theory and marketing
helped me a lot to adopt the
market.
My teacher helped me a lot through
out my education. Miss.Najma,
Mr.Assi( chmistry teacher),
Mr.Shanawaz(English), Mr.Ashrif,
Mr.sabir(?), Mr.Ethal(Chemistry).
Mr.Saeed Akhter(NCA), Miss.(?),
Miss.Farida Fatima (NCA), Miss.Masooma(Nca),
Miss.Nusra, Mr.Ali(NCA) and
most of all MR.Bahsir. I owe
them a lot. |
